Construction of a new 30MW high-capacity data centre in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Project Overview
The project involved the fast-track construction of a new 30MW data centre for a hyperscale client in Abu Dhabi over four phases in a nine month period.
The date centre is built on piled pad foundations sat on sand with a traditional steel frame, along with insulated cladding panels, sand proof louver intakes and a 1 ply membrane roof. We were also responsible for the high-specification fitout of a 1,600m² office and admin area along with landscaping, hard standings, roadways, paths, and security fencing system on site.
The project involved the full mechanical and electrical fitout using a racking system. It also involved a combination of hardwire and busduct power distribution systems with back-up diesel generators, UPS 10-minute battery autonomy, and a dedicated plant farm for fuel distribution along with a sprinkler pumphouse.
We managed, coordinated and integrated all client direct vendors and long-lead equipment on the project. Additionally, we coordinated and integrated the BMS, EPMS and security systems. All systems were commissioned from Level 1 – 5 to IST.
