Construction of a new 12MW, 11,000m² high-capacity data centre in Bahrain.
Project Overview
Construction of a new 12MW data centre in Bahrain consisting of 12 2.4MVa 400v back-up generators along with shell and core, and full mechanical and electrical fitout. The scope included the fitout of a 1,600m² office and administration area along with landscaping, hard standings, roadways, paths, and security fencing system on site.
The facility is built on piled pad foundations sat on sand with a traditional steel frame, together with insulated cladding panels, sand proof louvre intakes, and a one ply membrane roof.
The project also included a dedicated plant farm for fuel distribution and a sprinkler pumphouse, a complex chilled water system, a UPS system, HVAC systems using a top-down racking system, 42 AHU’s and 15 Computer Room Air Handlers (CRAH).
We managed, coordinated and integrated all client direct vendors and long-lead equipment on the project. Additionally, we coordinated and integrated the BMS, EPMS and security systems. All systems were commissioned from Level 1 – 5 to IST.
