The Merrion Hotel, Dublin

Work commences this month on a €15m extension to The Merrion Hotel, Dublin’s most luxurious five star hotel. The 4,370sq.m. extension on 8 – 11a Baggot Street incorporates a range of hotel suites, retail and service areas designed to improve the hotel’s already exceptional accommodation.

The works include the demolition of the existing terraces (8-10 Baggot St), retention and refurbishment of the protected structure on 11a Baggot Street, temporary propping of adjoining buildings, construction of a double level secant piled basement and a five storey superstructure.

Construction also includes the temporary relocation of kitchen facilities to the 2-star Michelin Restaurant Patrick Guilbaud, a new single level Terrace Restaurant and a glazed link corridor.
